The Big Day

Well today is the BIG Day! We board the big bird and off we go to South Korea! It came so fast with all the things we were doing in the last couple of months. We will be very busy when we land over there as well because starting Friday at 10:00 am there time we will be picked up at the hotel and start looking at places to live. As well as I am sure Grant will need to check in at work, and we still have to go to the imageation office for one more Visa as well, but cannot do that until we are there. So with everything happening I might not blog to much only a couple of lines each day! So for today we start our flight at Edmonton leaving at 11:45 am and off to Vancouver, then Vancouver to Tokyo, then Tokyo to Busan and then a car ride from Busan to Goejie, total of 21 hours(roughly) as long as no delays and such. Talk to you all later☺️

Holiday in St Lucia

So Grant and myself have been having a great time in St Lucia. The weather has been around plus 28 to 30. I am loving the heat other than I sun burnt the first day here in about a hour. The salt water has been helping reveale it, thank goodness. We went into the capital city today to the market and the duty free stores, I bought a few items but not to much. We are here until the 6th of Feburary then back home for 4days before we take off to South Korea. As we are sitting out on our patio the humming birds are flitting around it is so cool! Well I am signing off for today will blog some more later

New House in Parkland County

So we have all of our stuff at our new place in Parkland County. Well most of it we still have to go back up to Lac La Biche and pick up our tractor and a few shop things other than that all moved. And yes I still am sad about selling my house in the woods, not to sure if I will ever get over it. Our new house will not seem like home for awhile to Grant and I though, but it will be as we do things to change it to us,for now it's a holding place. I do like it of course but keep looking back at the other one and comparing, I guess that is not a good idea because it will never be the same!😢 So soon we will be on a plane to St. Lucia, cannot wait for HEAT!!😃😃 It will be nice just to kick back and put up my feet, as they hurt very badly to being on them for hours very day getting things packed and now unpacked. I just want to be a beach bum and read a good book, soaking up the sun. and believe me Grant needs the same treatment. when we get home from there we have enough time to wash clothes, pack again and hug our kids, then off to South Korea as our adventure will being. It has been lots of stress and work to have this happen but we are both looking forward to the adventure and I am sure it will all be good.

Time is Flying Fast

Hello everyone, well our days are getting closer to going to South Korea very fast!! We have been very busy doing paperwork and packing our house up because we have sold the house in Lac La Biche, AB and yes our hearts were broken by doing this, we love this house and acreage in the woods. But on to a new chapter of our lives. So we are in the process of buying a new home west of Devon, AB and yes it is an acreage as well, we will only have 6.08 acres there but that is enough for our 2 dogs, 3 grandchildren and all of our kids!! This acreage is surrounded by "TREES!!", which everyone from Saskatchewan will understand that when I say TREES thats a big thing. The trees are much smaller than my 60 footers in Lac La Biche, but they will still stop wind give a home to the birds and hide the deer. So somewhat the same as Lac La Biche. We take possession of our new home on Jan 7, 2015 and give up our old house on Jan 23, 2015. So we do have sometime in-between houses. After we get all moved into our new home Grant and I jump on a plane to St. Lucia in the Virgin Islands for 10 days, which we will need the rest from all the hustle and bustle of moving and getting paperwork done. We get back to Canada on the 7th of February and then jump on a plane again on the 11th of February for South Korea. I will be posting my new address and phone number for Devon when I get it all in place, for now keep checking up on my post because I am going to try and start regularly start post every other day or so!!! Well it's been a long time since i have blogged on here, we have been super busy. We have just over 1/2 way of our deck all framed out, and the deck goes all the way around the house and is about 10 feet off the ground at the back because of the walk out basement. Also I went to Edmonton last Monday and picked up my nephew off the plane, and he is staying with us for a month, so that is exciting for us to have time with him. But I will not bore you any longer and put my challenge 3 on the web for you. This challenge was hard for me because we were to use stamps and I'm not really into to much stamping. where does all the time go?

Happy Sunday, thought I would type a quick post to you all to let you know I still exists. We have been so busy with building our decks on Friday we poured 43 out of 44 piles we were short on concrete so now instead of having another truck come we will just mix it ourselves and get it poured. We also have a friend who is losing his wife right now to cancer and we are looking after his place for him, God bless his heart if you have time please say a small prayer for him. Today I have to clean the house and hopefully I can have some time to do some scraping this afternoon. Josh my son had sent me some new pictures of my beautiful granddaughter on her bike going to the park, they live in Calgary so far away from me. Oh well that is OK I know they miss me too(I think anyhow, lol). Well I will let you run and hopefully I will get something posted for you today or tomorrow. Bye :)
