challenge 3

Well it's been a long time since i have blogged on here, we have been super busy. We have just over 1/2 way of our deck all framed out, and the deck goes all the way around the house and is about 10 feet off the ground at the back because of the walk out basement. Also I went to Edmonton last Monday and picked up my nephew off the plane, and he is staying with us for a month, so that is exciting for us to have time with him. But I will not bore you any longer and put my challenge 3 on the web for you. This challenge was hard for me because we were to use stamps and I'm not really into to much stamping. But here it goes:

Materials used on project:
chipboard shapes - 7 Gypsies, Bazzill
pattern paper - WeR Memory Keepers, Cosmo Cricket
stamps - CTMH and Cat's Life
Ink - CTMH
pens - At you Spica, Zig
stickers - Sandylion, Beary Patch
journaling card - WeR Memory Keepers
photo turns - Tim Holz
embossing powder - CTMH

where does all the time go?

Happy Sunday, thought I would type a quick post to you all to let you know I still exists. We have been so busy with building our decks on Friday we poured 43 out of 44 piles we were short on concrete so now instead of having another truck come we will just mix it ourselves and get it poured. We also have a friend who is losing his wife right now to cancer and we are looking after his place for him, God bless his heart if you have time please say a small prayer for him. Today I have to clean the house and hopefully I can have some time to do some scraping this afternoon. Josh my son had sent me some new pictures of my beautiful granddaughter on her bike going to the park, they live in Calgary so far away from me. Oh well that is OK I know they miss me too(I think anyhow, lol). Well I will let you run and hopefully I will get something posted for you today or tomorrow. Bye :)

New week

Here a quick layout I did, my beautiful daughter is not going to like this layout to much but she will get over it. Not to sure on how much I am going to get to scrapbook or blog this week, because Grant is coming home on Wednesday and he is taking one of his weeks of holidays off, so that means he will be home for 3 weeks straight and we are going to be starting to build the decks. I can not wait until we are finished this house I am getting tired of always having to do some sort of finishing or something, I will never build a new home again!!

Lisa's Scrap shack challegne

Well Hello everyone I'm late on my blogging again but I'm here now. Lisa sent us some questions to answer and a challenge to do here is mine:
1.Family Status?
I have been married for 21 years to my loving devoted husband Grant. We have 4 beautiful children:
- Josh who is 24 and is engaged to be married Aug 1, 2010 to Candace and their little girl Gem.
- Sarah who is 20 and lives with her boyfriend John
- Amanda who is going to be 19 soon and is living with her brother and his family right now to go to college in the fall, she has a boyfriend named Kyle.
- Jessica who is going to be 19 soon (yes they are twins) and she lives at home still and is going out with Tony.
- Duchess our loving puppy of 5 years. Yes she is my baby!

2.What inspires you?
Many things inspire me, I love colors, shapes, and putting all different things together. I get ideas from looking at magazines, quilt patterns and just sitting with a paper and pencil watching and thinking as the birds and bugs fly by.

3.What time of day are you most creative?
I would have to say morning because I have my coffee in my hand and the juices are flowing through my head after a good nights sleep dreaming about what a page needs to finish it.

4.What three tool can you not live without?
I could not live without my:
a) paper piercer - I just hate when you go to put in a brad or something and the tabs bend back without a hole punched out for them.
b) circut machine - I love how I can make all my letters. I LOVE letters!!
c) making memories paper cutter - I love how big it is and it is self sharping. Never have a dull blade, love it.

5.What came first the chicken or the egg?
I have to say the chicken because God created all living creatures, which in turn laid a egg.

How that for ya and here is my project for you to see hope you like it and it helps you all to have inspirations for a layout or project of your own :)

Well hello, long time since I have wrote to all of you. Grant and I had a very nice visit when we went to Lucky Lake, SK this last weekend. We stop in Delisle, SK. and visited some old friends there on Friday and Saturday we headed south to Lucky Lake and stayed at Grant's parents house. We seen his family and then on Sunday morning we headed over to my Grandmother's home for a bunch and a visit with her, then on Monday afternoon we headed out to Provost, AB and stayed with friends there and had a great time. But I'm glad to be home again and Grant and the girls worked in the basement finishing up on the wainscoting and painting. Now comes the flooring, we are getting closer I'm so excited for the basement to be done. I'm really starting to believe I'm getting older because my little boy has turned 24 this year how time flies, but that is OK because that means I should have some little grandchildren :) I know don't rush them. But I should run and give you some more pages to this mini book, talk to you all later.

Well that weekend slipped by without me knowing it even happened. Did not get to much of anything done, but my loving husband and youngest daughter got some of the beadboard put up on the basement stairwell today. The basement is coming slowly, it will get there soon I hope. Having supper tonight I looked out the padio doors and there were two deer watching the house, I loving living in the country with all the wildlife, so out came the camera of coarse and took a hundred photos because you can always delete what you don't want. Anyhow more pictures to work with and now I know more about Photoshop it should be good. Well we will be talking to you all tomorrow bye :)
